About the Role Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Process Engineer to lead the integration of new products into their manufacturing stream in Sandton . This role is critical for ensuring that new chemical formulations are efficiently and safely scaled up for commercial production. You will bridge the gap between R&D; and manufacturing, developing robust process designs, overseeing pilot trials, and supporting full-scale production startup. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the process development and scale-up of new chemical products from laboratory to commercial scale.
- Design, execute, and analyze pilot plant trials to validate process parameters and economics.
- Develop detailed process documentation, including P&IDs;, equipment specifications, and operating procedures.
- Collaborate with R&D;, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure successful product launches.




- Conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs) and implement necessary safety measures.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support during the initial production phases.

Requirements
- BEng or MEng in Chemical Engineering .
- 7+ years of experience in process development, scale-up, and manufacturing support.
- Proven expertise in new product introduction (NPI) within the chemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and separation processes.
- Experience with process simulation and data analysis tools.
- Excellent project management and communication skills, particularly in interfacing between R&D; and production in Sandton .
