About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Project Manager to lead critical financial projects and initiatives within their Sandton operations. This role is instrumental in managing projects related to financial systems implementation, process improvements, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning. You will work closely with finance departments, IT teams, and external auditors to ensure the successful and timely delivery of financial projects. The adecuado candidate possesses a strong financial acumen, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards within the Gauteng financial hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage financial projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic financial goals.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Oversee the implementation of financial systems, upgrades, and process enhancements.
- Ensure projects comply with all relevant financial regulations,



accounting standards, and internal policies.
- Collaborate effectively with finance teams, IT, and other departments to ensure project success.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement timely corrective actions.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, PMP) are a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on financial projects .
- Proven experience managing financial systems implementations (e.g., ERP, accounting software).
- Solid understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
