About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Chemical Engineer with strong project management skills to lead key initiatives in Sandton . This role is responsible for the planning, execution, and successful completion of chemical engineering projects from conception to handover. You will manage project scope, budgets, timelines, and resources, while ensuring technical integrity and compliance with all safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage chemical engineering projects, from front-end engineering design (FEED) through to commissioning.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Oversee project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.




- Ensure all project designs and implementations comply with relevant engineering standards , safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project engineering teams.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering .
- 8+ years of experience in chemical engineering, with at least 5 years in project management roles.
- Proven experience managing capital projects within the chemical or related industries.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Prince2).
- Proficiency in project management software and cost estimation tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
