Position Summary

The School Nurse ensures holistic care for the Lincoln community by providing medical care, promoting well-being, and preventing illnesses and injuries to maintain a safe physical, mental, and emotional environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide immediate medical care, first aid, and emergency response management for students, staff, and community members.
• Collect and maintain student health records, health forms, and communicate critical medical information to staff.
• Store, administer, and document student medications following medical prescriptions and established protocols.
• Monitor student illness absences and communicate effectively with parents/guardians and school counselors.
• Manage Wellness Center supplies and conduct health screenings, vaccination campaigns, and epidemiological tracking.
• Provide health education workshops (such as CPR/first aid), prepare medical kits for field trips, and advise foreign hires on local medical services.

Education




• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field with valid professional licensure.

Languages
• Fluency and effective oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.

Experience
• Previous nursing experience, preferably in an educational or pediatric setting.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills
• Valid First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Experience in emergency preparedness, health promotion, and crisis intervention.
• Background in pediatric nursing and community health engagement.

Work Schedule
• Monday–Friday, 7:45 a.m.–4:15 p.m.
