We are looking for
music transcription experts
to contribute to an AI training project focused on
polyphonic audio analysis, SATB transcription, music notation, and Python
.
The work involves reconstructing precise musical scores from mixed recordings, including separating
soprano, alto, tenor, and bass lines
from a mono recording and converting performances into accurate
MusicXML scores
.
You'll identify pitches, onsets, durations, rests, rhythmic values, accidentals, and enharmonic spelling, while using Python and audio-analysis tools to support and validate the transcription process.

Strong
Python programming skills
and advanced musical ear training are required, along with a strong understanding of
harmony, rhythm, voice leading, standard notation, and polyphonic transcription
.
Experience with
SATB music, choral arranging, score preparation, MusicXML, music21, MuseScore, librosa, NumPy, SciPy, Essentia, or pretty_midi
is highly relevant.



No specific tool is mandatory if your experience is transferable.
Formal education or a specific number of years of experience is
not required
. Performers, arrangers, composers, choir musicians, researchers, and independent transcription specialists are encouraged to apply.
Previous experience with
AI training is not required
— the role prioritizes demonstrated musical and technical expertise.
