We are a family with strong core values, providing a new level of excitement for our guests and Team Members as we aspire to be Arkansas' Employer of Choice.We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a part of the Seasonal Count Team.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESHandles counting, verifying and balancing the money bags that are returned from the Mutuel Tellers.Adheres to all Mutuels Money Room policies and proceduresVerifies that tellers' deposits match their transactions and informs supervisors of any discrepancies or variancesEnsures integrity of all transactionsOperates electronic currency counter/sorter and coin counter equipmentRecords currency on the electronic currency counterPrepares and bundles the currency for verificationPrepares and creates various reports on the count and enters into computerized online accounting systemPrepares money for armored services pick upEnsures area is maintained and cleanMaintains confidentially of all informationContributes to a team effort and accomplished related results as requiredEnsure the safety and security of guests and team membersPerforms minor maintenance on counting machines; lubricates and cleans machinesAdhere to Oaklawn's attendance and appearance policiesMaintains an attitude & philosophy consistent with the company Core Values and Standards of Behavior with internal & external guestsPunctual attendance requiredAbility to work required overtimeComputer proficiencyStrong money handling skillsAbility to work in a fast paced, high energy environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to maintain a professional and positive demeanor with guests and team membersOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
