The People Nook is a small boutique recruiting agency working with US-based startups and scaleups, mainly in the tech space.

Most of our searches are focused on areas like crypto, DeFi, Web3, infrastructure and AI. In simple terms: we help fast-growing internet companies find great people.

We work remotely, move fast and like building things in a practical way. We're intentionally building a small, high-performing recruiting team focused on quality over volume. Everyone owns their searches, works autonomously, and is rewarded based on results.

What you'll do

- Source and engage senior engineering candidates.
- Conduct screens in English.
- Identify, qualify and recommend high-quality candidates for submission.
- Build and execute sourcing strategies.
- Partner with the founder to discuss search strategy and market insights.
- Help improve recruiting processes as we grow.
- Have ownership over your searches from day one.

What we're looking for

- Based in Argentina.
- 3+ years of experience in Technical Recruiting or Technical Sourcing.
- Experience recruiting for US-based tech companies.
- Strong experience hiring Software Engineers.
- Excellent sourcing skills using LinkedIn and other platforms.
- Fluent English (B2 or higher).
- Comfortable working independently.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable operating in an early-stage environment.

Bonus points

- You've recruited for AI, infrastructure, crypto, developer tools or high-growth startups.

This position is

- Fully remote / WFH.
- A freelance / contractor collaboration.
- Versátil workload and schedule. This isn't a 9-to-5 role. You choose how much you want to take on,



from a single search to multiple concurrent searches, depending on your availability and goals.
- You choose the searches you want to work on (subject to availability).
- Lean operation. We currently work mainly with Notion and LinkedIn. We're not yet at the stage where we provide paid tools like LinkedIn Premium, Ashby, or advanced sourcing platforms, though we do plan to incorporate them as the business grows. This role is best for someone comfortable building results with a lightweight setup.

Compensation This is a success-based collaboration.

Our clients typically pay approximately 90 days after a successful placement, and all recruiter payments follow the same model.

Base compensation: USD 5,000 per direct hire originated by you.

Speed Multiplier: 2x fee for hires accepted within the first 15 days of a search; 1.5x fee for hires accepted between days 16 and 30; standard fee after 30 days.

Team Success Fee: If another recruiter closes a hire during a month in which you actively contributed to active searches, you'll also receive a shared USD 1,000 Team Success Fee.
