RYZ Labs is looking for a Staff Software Engineer (Elixir) to join one of our client’s teams in the sports merchandising industry

We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to work across the client’s card technology platform and help connect multiple product and engineering domains. This is a hands-on role focused on building, evolving, and maintaining large-scale systems while driving technical decisions, improving engineering practices, and helping teams work more effectively.

Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Elixir and functional programming concepts.
- Proven experience building and maintaining production applications with Elixir and Phoenix.
- Experience owning and evolving large systems spanning multiple services, repositories, and teams.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and experience driving technical decisions across teams.
- Experience with Phoenix LiveView is strongly preferred.
- Strong PostgreSQL knowledge, including query optimization and performance tuning.




- Experience building data ingestion pipelines or ETL processes, particularly from third-party data sources.
- Experience with event-driven architectures, message queues, and cross-service data consistency.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, particularly with complex, numerical, or data-intensive systems.
- Experience working with Git, code reviews, automated testing, and collaborative development practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence technical direction across teams.
- Experience working effectively in highly autonomous and primarily remote environments.
