Position Overview

The Clinical Educator provides leadership in the assessment of learning needs, and in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of educational programs for staff. The educator acts as a role model and change agent.

Experience
- Experience in program planning, development and evaluation required.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in surgery or critical care required.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or related undergraduate degree required.
- Master’s degree in Nursing or related discipline preferred.




- Certificate in adult education preferred.

Certification / Licensure / Registration
- Current registration with CRNM.
- Instructor in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), required.
- Appropriate C.N.A. Certification (or equivalent), for program area.
- Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.

Qualifications And Skills
- Knowledge (this may include but not be limited to):
- Demonstrate progressive levels of responsibilities and leadership skills required.
- College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered nurses.
- Canadian Nursing Association code of Ethics for Registered Nurses.
- Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA), Regional Facility/unit policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
- Nursing care knowledge related to clinical areas.
