The Role

We're building the platform that lets the world build on top of Playbypoint — and we're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to be part of it. This goes beyond a traditional external API: you'll design and deliver the full stack of surfaces that enable developers, partners, and AI agents to integrate with us — REST APIs, MCP servers, skills, webhooks,



and the developer experience layer that ties it all together.

This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role at the intersection of platform engineering and the emerging ecosystem of AI-powered builders.

Our stack: Ruby on Rails (backend), React + TypeScript (frontend), GraphQL and REST APIs, MySQL / Redis / Sidekiq, cloud-native infrastructure on AWS.

What You'll Do
- Design and build Playbypoint's external API — versioned, stable, and built to scale with a growing ecosystem of integrators and partners.
- Develop and maintain MCP servers and skills that expose Playbypoint capabilities to AI agents and developer tools.
- Own the developer experience end to end: API documentation, developer portal, onboarding flows, SDKs, and sandbox environments.
- Define API governance practices: versioning strategy, deprecation policies, backward compatibility, and breaking change management.
