The Role and Why It's Important
Our Courtesy Clerks are an essential part of the Hy-Vee experience, helping customers from the register all the way to their car and keeping the store clean, stocked, and welcoming for everyone who walks through the door. In this role, you'll package purchases, assist customers, maintain the store, and lend a hand wherever you are needed.

What You'll Do
- Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, and going out of your way to make every visit a great one
- Package customer purchases and assist customers in transporting them to their mode of transportation
- Bring carts in from the parking lot and cart corrals throughout your shift
- Clean registers, restrooms, the break room, and the backroom, and sweep and mop floors as needed
- Clean the can redemption area and empty recycle bins where applicable
- Stock, face, and rotate merchandise, clean shelves, understand shelf tags, and know the location of merchandise in the store and backroom
- Pull product forward on shelves to maintain a full, organized appearance
