Job Description:
This position is responsible for providing clinical, educational, research and administrative support for the implantable device program. The position coordinates the interrogation of implantable devices which includes device data acquired during onsite device interrogations as well as data that a patient may submit from home to an Internet housed database. The role includes a research component for ongoing studies and maintenance of several databases.

Essential Functions
Meet with patients in clinic during routine follow-up appointments as well as in emergent situations.



This includes before and after implant procedures to ensure that patient devices are programmed and functioning at optimal levels and that all patient/parent questions are answered.
Respond to phone calls from patients, physicians, and vendors. Serve as a liaison between vendors and physicians and be available during procedures to answer questions from these groups.
Compare baseline EKG data with non-device dependent EKG, review and analyze the data and summarize information for the physician. Work with physician to optimize device settings based on those findings and enter findings into device database. Partner with physicians to screen for device complications. Reprogram device as indicated.
