Dohrn is currently seeking a Diesel Mechanic at our Peru, IL Terminal.
Hours: All shifts Available - 4 Day Work Week
Pay: 1st shift up to $38.48 & 2nd Shift up to $40.98 with ASE incentives
Training available for incentives

Position Summary:
Safely and efficiently maintain Dohrn fleet trailers.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Operate and inspect mechanical equipment to diagnose defects
- Preventive maintenance of equipment
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment
- Plan work procedure using charges and experience
- Repair, replace and adjust necessary units and parts




- Enter labor lines and parts into repair order computer system
- May travel to other company shop locations when staff is needed
- React to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum age of 18
- High School completion or equivalent
- Command of English language to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Must pass a NON-Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and functional screen NOTE: CDL-qualified mechanics will be subject to a DOT physical examination
- Must consent to a pre-employment drug screen; Dohrn Transfer must receive a negative result
- Experience is preferred
- Federal inspection certifications are preferred
- Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair and maintenance of a variety of automotive and mechanical equipment is required
- Must have previous experience maintaining detailed and routi
