Role Summary The Charging Deployment and Operations Specialist supports the execution and expansion of BYD's charging network in Argentina and Uruguay. Working closely with the Head of Charging, internal teams, contractors and local partners, the role focuses on following site delivery, enabling the local deployment of digital services, and supporting network planning for a rapidly growing pipeline. The position also helps ensure that completed sites are commissioned, handed over and operated in line with BYD standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Follow the end-to-end execution of charging sites in Argentina and Uruguay, coordinating with contractors, suppliers, utilities, site hosts and internal teams to track design, permitting, procurement, construction, grid connection, commissioning and handover.
- Maintain clear visibility of project status, risks, dependencies, costs and deadlines; escalate issues promptly and drive the follow-up required to keep each site on track.
- Coordinate the local adaptation, integration and testing of digital charging services, ensuring they connect effectively with local user journeys, customer interfaces, operational partners and service providers.
- Support network planning for the expanding charging pipeline, including market and demand analysis, geographic coverage, corridor planning, site prioritization and preliminary technical and commercial feasibility.
- Support site readiness and commissioning through testing, documentation, issue resolution and structured handover to routine operations.




- Monitor the initial operational performance and customer experience of deployed sites, coordinating maintenance, corrective actions and improvements with technical teams and service providers.
- Maintain accurate project and operational documentation, including site trackers, technical records, commissioning documents, incident logs and configuration data.
- Provide execution insights and local market input to the Head of Charging and collaborate with regional and integral teams to support consistent standards and future network development.

Requirements

- Education: Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Electrical/Energy, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure deployment, construction follow-up, project execution, energy, EV charging or similar technical and field-based roles; experience in automotive or mobility is a strong plus.
- Understanding of project delivery and electrical infrastructure; familiarity with EV charging, high-power DC systems or energy projects is preferred.
- Experience coordinating contractors and multiple stakeholders, using project trackers and operational data to drive execution and resolve issues.
- Fluency in Spanish and English. Knowledge of Chinese is highly valued.
- Availability to travel within Argentina and Uruguay.

- Proactive, hands-on attitude and willingness to visit sites, understand real-world conditions and translate them into timely action.
