UI/UX Designer — Figma & AI-Assisted Design

Aidonic is looking for a technically strong UI/UX Designer to design and maintain scalable web and mobile experiences. This role requires advanced Figma expertise, strong design-system knowledge, and experience using AI-assisted workflows to connect design and development.

Responsibilities

- Own the complete design process: discovery, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, validation, and developer handoff.
- Design responsive experiences for web, mobile web, and React Native applications.
- Translate complex workflows into accessible, intuitive interfaces.
- Build and maintain scalable Figma design systems.
- Define reusable components using variants, component properties, variables, and interactive states.
- Establish typography, color, spacing, grid, and responsive-layout foundations.
- Use Auto Layout and constraints to create production-realistic designs.
- Maintain shared libraries while managing component evolution and backward compatibility.
- Produce detailed interaction specifications covering loading, empty, error, disabled, offline, and success states.
- Partner closely with engineers to ensure designs align with technical constraints.
- Review implementations and identify visual, responsive, accessibility, and interaction inconsistencies.
- Conduct usability testing and turn findings into measurable improvements.

Figma expertise Candidates should demonstrate advanced experience with:

- Auto Layout, constraints, grids, and responsive component behavior.
- Components, nested components, variants, slots, and component properties.
- Variables, collections, aliases, semantic tokens,



and light/dark modes.
- Shared libraries, publishing workflows, versioning, and documentation.
- Interactive prototypes, overlays, transitions, and conditional flows.
- Dev Mode, inspect-ready designs, annotations, and developer handoff.
- Design tokens and synchronization between Figma and application code.
- Figma branching, library governance, and component deprecation.
- Accessibility, including contrast, keyboard navigation, focus states, and RTL support.

AI-assited design workflow Experience with Cursor is highly desirable. Equivalent experience with Figma-integrated AI tools is also welcome.

You should be comfortable using AI to:

- Explore and iterate on interface concepts.
- Create and maintain Figma components and design-system documentation.
- Analyze existing application components before designing new patterns.
- Connect Figma with codebases through MCP, plugins, APIs, or Code Connect.
- Translate designs into implementation-ready specifications.
- Compare implemented interfaces against Figma designs.
- Identify inconsistencies between design tokens and production code.
- Support design-to-code and code-to-design workflows.
- Automate repetitive design-system maintenance without compromising quality.





Candidates should understand that AI accelerates the workflow but does not replace user research, product reasoning, accessibility validation, or design judgment.

Required qualifications

- 4+ years of UI/UX or product-design experience.
- A portfolio demonstrating shipped web and mobile products.
- Advanced, hands-on expertise in Figma.
- Strong understanding of design systems and token-based design.
- Experience designing responsive and adaptive interfaces.
- Knowledge of WCAG accessibility principles.
- Ability to communicate detailed interaction and component behavior to engineers.
- Strong understanding of technical constraints and frontend implementation.
- Experience collaborating through Jira, GitHub, or similar delivery tools.

Preferred qualifications

- Experience with Cursor or another AI-enabled IDE.
- Experience with Figma MCP, Code Connect, APIs, or design-system automation.
- Familiarity with React, Next.js, React Native, Tailwind CSS, or Storybook.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, component architecture, and Git workflows.
- Experience designing multilingual and right-to-left interfaces.
- Experience with fintech, humanitarian technology, or social-impact products.
- Familiarity with offline-first workflows and low-connectivity environments.
