Accounting, Finance & Payroll Lead

JL Closets , South Florida’s leader in high-end custom storage solutions, is looking for an Accounting, Finance & Payroll Lead to oversee our accounting, financial, and payroll operations and lead our remote team based in Argentina.

This isn’t your typical back-office role—you’ll be a key part of our leadership structure, helping us maintain accurate accounting, manage payroll, strengthen financial processes, and provide insights that support strategic growth. If you're experienced in accounting and finance, have strong payroll knowledge, and enjoy leading people and improving processes, this could be the perfect fit.

What You’ll Do

- Take ownership of daily accounting, finance, and payroll operations—ensuring everything is accurate, timely, and compliant
- Manage payroll processing, bank and credit card reconciliations, and overall bookkeeping
- Lead and mentor two bookkeepers in Argentina, setting clear expectations and reviewing deliverables
- Prepare monthly financial reports with actionable insights for leadership
- Track budgets, cash flow, and financial performance to support smarter business decisions
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper financial procedures and controls
- Partner with external accountants on tax filings, audits, and year-end processes
- Oversee payroll processes and ensure employees are paid accurately and on time
- Identify and implement improvements in accounting, payroll, financial workflows, systems, and team processes
- Establish efficient procedures and accountability standards across the finance and accounting functions




- Support leadership with financial analysis and recommendations that contribute to business growth

What You Bring

- 15+ years of accounting or finance experience, with a strong track record in leadership
- Strong experience managing accounting operations, payroll, reconciliations, bookkeeping, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting tools
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and financial compliance
- Experience managing remote teams and working independently
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- A sharp eye for detail, strong organizational habits, and a proactive mindset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A leadership approach that balances accountability with coaching and team development
- Ability to take ownership and consistently follow through
