QA Engineer — Manual QA & Test Automation

? Remote — Argentina & Peru

We are looking for a QA Engineer who sees quality as more than finding bugs.

This role is designed for a quality professional who can think beyond the happy path , understand how applications behave under the hood, and work closely with Product and Engineering to identify risks before they become production issues.

You’ll be part of an international product team where QA is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle — from early requirements and planning through release and continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on role that combines strong Manual QA, Exploratory Testing, and Test Automation . You’ll have the opportunity to influence test strategy, improve coverage, investigate complex issues, and help build stronger quality practices across the team.

? ABOUT THE ROLE

As a QA Engineer, you will:

• Participate in product discovery, requirements, refinement, and planning discussions to identify ambiguity, missing acceptance criteria, dependencies, risks, and testability concerns early.

• Translate product requirements and technical context into risk-based test strategies, test plans, scenario maps, and coverage priorities .

• Perform exploratory, functional, integration, regression, usability, and end-to-end testing across complex user flows.

• Go beyond the happy path by testing edge cases, interrupted flows, repeated actions, navigation changes, degraded connectivity, boundary conditions, and unexpected application states .

• Design, build, and maintain reliable automated test suites for high-value and repeatable workflows using modern automation frameworks.

• Balance Manual QA and Automation based on risk, maintenance effort, business impact, and the level of confidence required.

• Validate features before production, maintain focused regression coverage, assess release risk, and provide clear quality insights to support release decisions .

- Investigate and document defects with precise reproduction steps, expected and vigente behavior, environment details, severity, user impact,



and supporting evidence.
- Work directly with engineers and product partners to investigate issues, understand root causes, discuss tradeoffs, and identify practical solutions.

• Develop a strong understanding of the product architecture, data flows, integrations, and application behavior to anticipate change impact.

• Contribute a QA perspective to technical discussions and pull-request reviews .

• Help strengthen quality practices across the team by sharing approaches to test design, edge-case analysis, acceptance criteria, and defect prevention .

• Analyze recurring defects and quality signals to identify opportunities to improve testing environments, tooling, documentation, and workflows .

• Evaluate and apply AI-assisted testing and emerging QA techniques where they can expand coverage, accelerate investigation, or improve testing efficiency while maintaining sound human judgment.

? WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 5+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering, including ownership of testing for production web applications.

• Strong experience with exploratory, functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing .

• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated tests using a modern framework such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or a comparable tool .

• Strong understanding of web application behavior, APIs, data flows, browser developer tools, and the Software Development Lifecycle .

• Ability to investigate failures beyond the UI and understand potential downstream impact.

• Strong risk-based testing mindset , with the ability to distinguish high-value coverage from low-value test activity.





• Experience creating clear, precise, and actionable defect reports and test documentation .

• Comfortable collaborating in planning sessions, technical discussions, pull-request reviews , and iterative software delivery.

- Excellent written and verbal communication, curiosity, sound judgment, and a constructive approach to problem solving.

• Working knowledge of databases and SQL .

• Experience with API testing tools .

• Experience with log analysis and cloud environments .

- Experience reading application code to support technical investigation and risk assessment.

• Experience in fintech, financial wellness, regulated environments, or products handling sensitive customer data .

• Practical experience using AI-assisted testing tools to generate scenarios, accelerate analysis, or improve test coverage.
