This role supports UNODC's mandate through the Sustainable Development Cluster.Job purposeThe Senior Project Support Associate will provide substantial support to the "Strengthening Criminal Justice against Organized Crime" project in Argentina.
This project aims to bolster the implementation of the accusatory criminal justice system by enhancing operational, strategic, and inter-institutional coordination capacities for investigating and prosecuting drug trafficking and organized crime.
The role is crucial for ensuring effective project activity execution, contributing to the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of technical and institutional capacity-building initiatives at federal and provincial levels.
This includes supporting the prosecution of serious transnational crimes within the framework of the accusatory penal system.ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include monitoring project activities and preparing progress reports, collecting and analyzing diagnostic information to identify institutional gaps and needs in criminal justice.
The role involves developing and updating tracking documents, commitment records, and systematization reports.




Support is provided for the annual work plan and the development of training materials for judges, prosecutors, and security personnel.
Operational support includes coordinating and organizing workshops, training sessions, and inter-institutional meetings.
The associate will also assist in developing technical products such as protocols and guides, systematizing best practices, and documenting lessons learned.
Furthermore, the role involves supporting knowledge exchange activities, participating in technical exchanges, and contributing to research on the implementation of the accusatory system.EducationRequired: Secondary education with 7 years of relevant experience, OR a university degree in Criminal Sciences or Law with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
Desirable: Technical, tertiary, or postgraduate training in economic crimes, drug trafficking, organized crime, or cybercrime.Work experienceRequired: Experience in criminal justice systems, supporting projects, training activities, and workshops.
Experience in report preparation, tracking matrices, and using productivity tools.
Desirable: Experience in international cooperation, institutional strengthening projects, or coordination with national/international bodies.
