About Frontier Media

Frontier Media produces AUTONOMOUS: The Future of Robotics & Physical AI, a media brand and conference for the founders, engineers, investors, and enterprise operators building the industry. Our first event in San Francisco sold out with 600+ attendees from leading physical AI companies within 3.5 months. We are planning to double in 2027. We're a small, fast-moving team that is founder-led with a big vision.

The Role

We're hiring our first reporter. You'll write about robotics and physical AI, and you'll get the people building the industry on the record. The core of the job is exclusive interviews with founders and CEOs, published on our site, plus a newsletter two to three times a week that recaps the industry and links back to your work. This is a reporting job, not a content marketing job. You'll source your own stories and book your own interviews.

What You'll Do

- Report and write original stories on robotics and physical AI
- Book and publish exclusive written interviews with founders, CEOs, and researchers. You find them and you ask for them
- Write and send a newsletter two to three times a week recapping the industry
- Work directly with the founder on which companies matter and why
- Recruit the people you interview to speak at AUTONOMOUS. You'll do that outreach yourself




- Write the occasional clearly labeled sponsored feature alongside editorial. Editorial comes first, and sponsored work is always labeled

What We're Looking For

- Published bylines on a technology beat. Robotics, AI, hardware or mobility preferred, but a fast learner from another beat is welcome
- Interviews you booked yourself. Tell us which ones and how you got them
- You write in English at a publishable standard. Everything we publish is in English, and your writing will not be rewritten by an editor. This is the requirement that matters most
- Comfortable with cold outreach. A large part of this job is asking strangers for their time
- Available to overlap with US hours. Our team is on US Eastern time, one to two hours behind you, so the working day lines up
- Self-directed. You'll be the only person on the desk

Not a fit: SEO and content-marketing writers with no reporting, or experience that is aggregation and rewrites only.
