Corporate IT Lead
Fully Remote
Reports to: SVP of Engineering
Preferred location: Argentina
Other eligible locations: Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Peru, and Puerto Rico
Rate : $37 - $40 hourly
About the Role
We are looking for a Corporate IT Lead to own corporate IT operations, security, compliance, business systems governance, and the employee technology experience.
This is a senior individual contributor role with high autonomy and no direct reports. You will work closely with the SVP of Engineering to identify problems, propose improvements, and drive initiatives through implementation. The role is approximately 70% operational and 30% strategic .
You will support a remote-only company with employees across the United States, United Kingdom, South America, and Europe. You will deliver results through managed service providers (MSPs), specialist contractors, and SaaS vendors, while remaining accountable for service quality, security, and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations and Employee Experience
- Own IT service delivery for a globally distributed workforce, ensuring reliable and responsive support across US and UK/European working hours.
- Manage employee onboarding, offboarding, access changes, external-user provisioning, and hardware logistics.
- Oversee the general Windows and macOS endpoint lifecycle, including security standards, inventory, patching, replacement, and remote support.
- Manage MSPs and contractors through clear scopes, performance measures, and regular oversight.
- Step in directly when needed to resolve issues and maintain service quality.
Corporate IT Strategy and Systems
- Develop corporate IT strategy in partnership with the SVP of Engineering and other leaders.
- Identify risks, inefficiencies, unnecessary costs, and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain a clear understanding of corporate systems, integrations, ownership, dependencies, and information flows.
- Own SaaS governance, including application inventory, access controls, licensing, cost management, and new-tool reviews.
- Oversee the CRM administration contractor and provide technical governance for CRM and other business systems.
Identity, Security, and Compliance
- Own identity and access management,
including single sign-on, multifactor authentication, privileged access, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Lead the company’s SOC 2 compliance program end to end, including audit coordination, evidence collection, control operation, and remediation.
- Own corporate IT security across endpoints, identities, SaaS applications, vendors, and information systems.
- Lead corporate IT security incident response and support broader company incident response when needed.
- Conduct third-party technology and vendor security reviews.
- Maintain IT and security policies that support compliance and day-to-day operations.
Information Management and Documentation
- Establish information-management standards with executives and department leaders, covering ownership, access, retention, sharing, storage, and lifecycle.
- Keep documentation of systems, integrations, processes, and administrative responsibilities accurate and transferable.
- Maintain clear IT role and process documentation.
AI Governance and Enablement
- Own the approved AI toolkit and AI usage policies.
- Evaluate AI tools, agents, connectors, and integrations for security and data-handling risks.
- Monitor AI adoption and spending, and assess useful new capabilities.
- Coordinate AI training and enablement as part of the broader IT training program.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT experience , including accountable ownership of IT operations in a lean environment.
- Experience owning or materially leading a SOC 2, ISO 27001, or comparable compliance program , including audits, evidence collection, controls, and remediation.
- Strong working knowledge of identity and access management, including SSO, MFA, privileged access, and SaaS access controls.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Entra ID .
- Experience managing Windows and macOS endpoints ,
including security configuration, patching, mobile device management (MDM), and lifecycle processes.
- Experience managing MSPs and IT vendors, defining scope, measuring performance, and holding providers accountable.
- Experience with SaaS inventory, licensing, cost management, and systems governance.
- Ability to understand system integrations, data flows, and dependencies.
- Strong written communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to operate independently, gather stakeholder input, exercise sound judgment, and drive approved work through completion.
- A practical approach to balancing security, usability, cost, and business needs.
Preferred Experience
- Primary IT ownership in a small or midsize company, or experience as a strong second-in-command supporting approximately 100–500 employees.
- Support for an international or fully remote workforce.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a comparable CRM platform.
- Scripting, APIs, Microsoft Graph, PowerShell, or workflow automation.

- Employees receive reliable, responsive IT support.
- Onboarding, offboarding, hardware delivery, and access changes run smoothly.
- SOC 2 audits complete successfully with minimal organizational overhead.
- MSPs and vendors deliver strong performance within clearly defined scopes.
- Corporate systems, SaaS inventory, information ownership, and documentation remain accurate and current.
- AI tools are governed effectively and support productive work.
- Risks and operational problems are addressed proactively.
Location, Schedule, and Travel
- Fully remote.
- Schedule flexibility is required to collaborate across US and UK/European time zones, which may occasionally involve earlier working hours.
- Occasional international travel to the United Kingdom is required, approximately 1–2 trips per year , for company gatherings, planning sessions, leadership meetings, and IT-related work.
Timesheets and Billing
- Submission of timesheets is required.
- Days off, sick days, and local public holidays that are not worked are non-billable.
- There may be an opportunity to work during local public holidays, subject to coordination with the company.
