Executive role architecture The Geo and Delivery leadership roles form one first-line delivery family.
The Geo
Leader leads the full GDS Independence delivery portfolio for an assigned Region. A designated group of Delivery Leaders reports to the Geo Leader and translates the regional agenda into strong execution across selected processes, delivery teams and account responsibilities.
Geo Leader: Portfolio leader for the Region: owns the integrated relationship, cross-process outcomes, priorities, capacity, escalation, value narrative and overall Speed, Quality and Experience.

Position summary The Geo Leader is accountable for the entire GDS Independence delivery portfolio for an assigned Region.
The Geo
Leader acts as the senior GDS delivery interface, aligns priorities across processes, coordinates capacity and cross-process dependencies, owns material operational escalations and presents the consolidated value story.
Geo Leader in GDS will be responsible for selected processes, delivery segments and strategic-account portfolios within that Region, driving -lead Speed, Quality and Experience for the Regional and Country business teams.
Job responsibilities
- Deliver accurate, timely, consistent and stakeholder-centred GDS Independence services in accordance with approved Global processes, controls and playbooks.
- Build close and trusted working relationships with Regional and Country Independence stakeholders and operate as an extended delivery partner to the Region.
- Understand regional and country nuances, demand patterns, recurring pain points, strategic-account needs and stakeholder expectations.
- Collectively own Speed, Quality and Experience through the defined Value Reporting Framework, with transparent actions and closed-loop communication.
- Drive simplification, insightfulness, stronger communication, technology adoption and continuous improvement in live delivery.
- Coach and monitor the larger GDS Independence team and create consistency in execution, knowledge application, relationships and ownership.
- Plan for seasonal demand, urgent work and continuity across processes and locations using primary and secondary alignment rather than rigid resource lock-in.
- Partner constructively with Process SMRs, acting on independent QA findings and escalating policy, process or control matters to the authorized owner.
Distinct portfolio accountabilities
- Lead the entire GDS Independence delivery portfolio for the assigned Region and remain accountable for the integrated regional outcome across all in-scope GDS-led processes.
- Act as the senior coordinated GDS interface for the Regional Independence Leader, Regional PoC, Country Independence Leaders and relevant leadership forums.
- Set the regional delivery agenda, establish priorities and hold designated Delivery Leaders accountable for service, people, risk and improvement commitments.
- Coordinate dependencies and trade-offs across processes, countries, locations, accounts and delivery teams, resolving barriers that exceed one Delivery Leader’s scope.
- Own the consolidated regional demand forecast, seasonal-capacity plan, budget/billing alignment and business-continuity approach through approved governance.
- Own material operational escalations, ensure internal routing, maintain stakeholder communication and close the loop on commitments.
- Own the Region’s consolidated Value Reporting narrative across Speed, Quality, Experience, operational value and transformational value.
- Coach Delivery Leaders, build the regional leadership bench and create one delivery culture across process and location boundaries.

- Strong Independence or comparable risk/compliance delivery knowledge, with the ability to connect process detail to Regional and business outcomes.

To qualify for the role
- A university degree or equivalent professional experience in business, accounting, finance, risk, compliance, operations or a related area.
- Relevant experience in professional services, integral delivery, Independence, risk or another controlled service environment.
- Demonstrated people leadership, stakeholder management, delivery governance and change implementation.
- Excellent written and spoken English and confidence operating across time zones and cultures.
- Evidence of portfolio leadership, senior stakeholder credibility and cross-process judgment appropriate to Rank 62 or aspiring Rank 62.
