ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager – Hospitality Expansion to support our continued growth across Latin America, with opportunities in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and Costa Rica.
This role will be responsible for identifying new hotel, hostel, resort, restaurant, and F&B expansion opportunities, developing relationships with property owners, investors, developers, landlords, brokers, and strategic partners, and supporting the company's market expansion and property acquisition strategy.
The ideal candidate is a commercially driven Business Development, Hospitality Development, Property Acquisition, or Real Estate professional with strong knowledge of the local market and an established network within the hospitality or real estate industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Hospitality Expansion & Market Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across assigned Latin American markets.
- Research target cities, tourism destinations, and emerging hospitality markets.
- Identify opportunities for hotel, hostel, resort, restaurant, and F&B expansion.
- Develop market-entry strategies and support new market development initiatives.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential properties and investment opportunities.
Property Acquisition & Deal Sourcing
- Source potential properties through direct outreach, market research, brokers, developers, landlords, owners, and industry networks.
- Evaluate hotels, hostels, resorts, restaurants, and other hospitality assets for potential acquisition, lease, management, or partnership opportunities.
- Conduct preliminary property, market, commercial, and financial assessments.
- Coordinate feasibility studies, business cases, and investment proposals.
- Identify opportunities for management contracts, leases, acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, and other commercial structures.
Business Development & Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with property owners, investors, developers, landlords, real estate brokers, tourism stakeholders, and hospitality partners.
- Generate qualified leads and convert opportunities into signed agreements.
- Represent the company in meetings, property visits, industry events, networking activities, and business negotiations.
- Develop long-term strategic partnerships that support portfolio growth.
Commercial & Negotiation
- Lead or support commercial negotiations for new properties and expansion opportunities.
- Assist with lease negotiations, management agreements, acquisitions, partnerships, and other contractual arrangements.
- Prepare commercial proposals, presentations, business cases, and investment recommendations.
- Work closely with Finance, Operations, Legal, Development, and senior management during the deal process.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor hospitality, tourism, real estate, and investment trends across Latin America.
- Analyze competitors, market demand, property values, tourism flows, and development opportunities.
- Provide regular reports on the property acquisition pipeline, market opportunities, risks, and commercial potential.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Real Estate, Finance, Marketing, Tourism, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Business Development, Hospitality Development, Property Acquisition, Real Estate, Investment, Sales, or a related commercial role.
- Strong experience within the hotel, hostel, resort, restaurant, F&B, tourism, or hospitality industry.
- Proven experience sourcing new business opportunities and developing commercial relationships.
- Existing network of property owners, investors, developers, landlords, brokers, or hospitality stakeholders is highly desirable.
- Experience with property acquisition, hotel development, leases, management contracts, joint ventures,
or strategic partnerships is a strong advantage.
- Strong commercial, financial, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to assess business opportunities and understand basic P&L, ROI, investment, feasibility, and financial projections.
- Strong presentation, communication, networking, and relationship-management skills.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, target-driven, and comfortable working independently.
- Willingness to travel extensively across assigned markets.
- Fluent local language and strong English communication skills required. Portuguese is required for Brazil-based positions.
