At Ready Set, we make new video ads for Facebook and Instagram every week, for large clients like Smile Direct Club, Weight Watchers and more.
It's like Saturday Night Live: Monday your team of 15+ is writing new scripts and the rest of the week they're working with our producers and editors to get them made. Next, they go into testing and learn from our Creative Insights team if the ads hit or not. Coming up with ads that have a 7-figure impact for clients is an awesome feeling
Video Editors are responsible for editing ads for clients day to day, working for a fixed set of brands and in close contact with the creative directors that write and revise every video.
Responsibilities:
- Editing short form and long-form direct response video ads for Facebook and other platforms, for clients like Smile Direct Club, MeUndies and more.
- Animating simple text and shape assets to complement the edits.
- Work hand to hand with one or more creative directors, receiving feedback, revisions and sometimes advising on creative decisions.
- Following up editing best practices,
naming conventions and upload and download procedures, so we can all edit each other's projects.
Competencies:
- Excellent english, both written and spoken. This is a US based company.
- Extensive experience with Adobe Premiere and After effect (+7 years)
- An experienced editor who gets Performance Video intuitively
- Accessible, responsive and diligent - we move fast and reliability is key
- Humble, coachable - takes feedback well. We are always learning from each other
- Self-motivated - a doer. We give everyone at Ready Set a ton of freedom
- Works well remotely - it's a particular setup with its own pros and cons
- Understands paid social and how it's different from other mediums
- Willing to experiment and take risks
- Willing to work within brand guidelines and help ensure our clients love their creative
