Perform day-to-day HR business activities and partner with business function counterparts on initiatives aligned with GM's objectives, mission, and culturePartner with directors, executives, and business leaders to define talent identification and management strategiesImprove working relationships, build engagement, increase output, and attract and retain talentProvide direction on restructures, transformation efforts, job design, workforce planning, and organizational planningCreate a high-touch HR experience by supporting employees with questions, concerns, and engagementCommunicate HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations and provide guidanceSupport talent and performance management, including coaching, consulting, corrective actions, and crisis relationsSupport expatriate assignments and related HR mattersPartner with Business HR on talent management, development, compensation, and calibration cyclesSupport complex employee relations issues and investigations with the Policy & Investigation COESupport onboarding and conduct exit interviewsAnalyze attrition data and develop corrective-action and continuous-improvement recommendationsFacilitate or provide workforce trainingConsult on employee compensation and pay-for-performance and recognition programsIdentify continuous-improvement opportunities and provide field perspective to influence HR processes and proceduresRequirementsUniversity GraduateMandatory experience in Human ResourcesAdvanced English is mandatoryPortuguese is desirableUnderstanding of legal requirements related to employee management, legal risk reduction, and regulatory complianceStrong financial and forecasting acumenDeep understanding of GM's brands, company, function, and productsNo immigration-related sponsorship is provided; candidates requiring GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future should not applyMust be able to report to the specific location at least 3 times a week, or at another frequency dictated by the managerRelocation benefits are not provided; relocation costs are the selected candidate's responsibilityCore CompetenciesDemonstrates expertise in Human Resources management, including talent identification, employee relations, and organizational planning.
