About the Role
CNGR Advanced Material is looking for a Senior HR Manager to lead the HR function for its local employees in Argentina, as part of the South America Region HR team. Reporting to the HR Director and leading a team covering Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, and Labor Relations, this role is responsible for defining and executing local HR strategy, ensuring compliance with Argentine labor law, and driving culture, talent, and business partnership initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Leadership: Define and implement the HR strategy for Argentina local employees; align local processes with general HR standards and corporate objectives; represent HR at executive and regional meetings.
- Talent Management & Employee Lifecycle: Oversee recruiting, onboarding, training, development, performance management, compensation, succession planning, and offboarding; ensure a consistent, high-quality employee experience across sites.
- Labor Relations & Regulatory Compliance: Act as the main expert on Argentine labor law; lead complex labor cases, legal communications, and audits; manage relationships with legal firms, unions (where applicable), regulators, and risk management agencies.
- Culture & Internal Communication: Promote CNGR's culture, values, and leadership principles; lead diversity, wellbeing, and engagement initiatives; design strategic internal communication frameworks.
- HR Analytics,
Budget & Compensation: Lead salary reviews, compensation benchmarking, and policy development; manage HR KPIs, analytics, reporting, and budget execution; oversee payroll inputs and compliance.
- Team Leadership & Multicultural Coordination: Lead and develop the HR team in Argentina; collaborate with regional/global HR teams, particularly China HQ; drive alignment across business functions.
- Business Partnership: Support senior leaders on workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational design; participate in operational planning and decision-making.
Qualifications
Education
- Must have: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or Business Administration.
- Preferred: MBA, Master's in Human Resources, or another HR postgraduate degree.
Experience
- Must have: 8-10 years of HR experience, including 5+ years in HR managerial roles, with experience in talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, culture management, and union relations.
- Preferred: Experience with multinational companies; familiarity with the mining/energy or manufacturing industry.
Languages
- Must have: Advanced English (C1 or above).
- Must have: Native Chinese (HSK-6).
Core Skills
- Must have: Advanced knowledge of Argentine labor law; experience with compensation, payroll, and HRIS systems; strong multicultural communication skills.
- Preferred: Budgeting and forecasting; culture management; compliance management.
