We're on the hunt for a Lead Network Engineer with a focus on AWS to become part of our organization. This role puts you in a position to help online services teams create, deploy, and administer the infrastructure and services that over five hundred million players worldwide depend on daily. You'll get hands-on with industry-leading tools and platforms built to elevate the developer experience, streamlining how applications get built, run, and expanded safely and efficiently.
Operating at an immense scale, you'll be part of one of the planet's largest consumers of cloud computing resources.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to keeping infrastructure stable and performing well across services depended upon throughout the company
- Work closely with engineering teams to spot and fix issues that threaten system reliability
- Take part in mapping out and delivering infrastructure improvements along with expanded capacity efforts
- Assist in defining guidelines and proven methods that shape everyday technical activities
- Contribute to crafting scalable architecture capable of supporting the company's rapid growth
- Join forces with other teams on initiatives geared toward boosting long-term system stability
- Help review and assess new technological solutions that might benefit the organization as a whole
- Mentor and guide fellow team members handling comparable technical responsibilities
- Assist in creating documentation that promotes information sharing between different teams
- Participate in ongoing efforts aimed at optimizing processes and lowering operational complexity
Requirements
- A minimum of five years of hands-on, applicable experience related to this role
- At least one year spent leading and overseeing development teams
- Extensive practical ability configuring and managing the Palo Alto platform, including complex troubleshooting work, security policy administration, and coordination with other network security systems
- Strong working knowledge of advanced dynamic routing protocols such as BGP, EVPN, and VXLAN, ensuring dependable network performance across large, multi-site setups
- Broad understanding of integral network architecture, ranging from branch office links to data centers and cloud service providers, plus proven ability to design, implement, and enhance sophisticated network structures
- Hands-on background with cloud networking technologies across platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Substantial hands-on experience with automation pipelines, helping advance network automation and deployment methods through tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or custom scripting
- Solid understanding of network security essentials, including firewall management, VPN setup, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability remediation
- Track record of handling incidents and outages, coupled with familiarity in executing disaster recovery plans
- Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher
Nice to have
- Exposure to networking and telecommunications fields, including understanding of network hardware, data transmission fundamentals, and communication infrastructure that supports enterprise-level systems
