Role: QA Automation Engineer

Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)

Contract Duration: 6 Months+

Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)

Location: 100% Remote - Candidates can work from anywhere in LATAM countries

Role Overview

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in both manual and automated testing to support a new project. The idóneo candidate should be comfortable working throughout the complete testing lifecycle, from requirements analysis and manual test design/execution to the development and maintenance of automated tests.

Technical Skills

- Minimum 3 years' experience performing software testing or related functions.

- Experience in testing web front/backend applications, mobile-web applications using Appium (iOS and Android).

- Preferred - Understanding of the ArcGIS Indoors data model (Sites, Facilities, Levels, Sections, Zones, Units, Details), map layers, geospatial data structures, coordinates, and map visualization concepts.

- Preferred - Ability to interpret AutoCAD drawings and cross-check converted GIS outputs, including shapefiles and file geodatabases, to ensure correct mapping and categorization of features.

- Preferred - Experience validating positional accuracy, geo-referencing, feature completeness, attribute accuracy, metadata integrity, naming conventions, and consistency across map layers.

- Experience with Selenium WebDriver for Web automation, REST Assured or similar tools for API automation, Appium for Mobile automation is a plus.

- Experience with Cucumber / BDD / Gherkin and TestNG and Maven.

- Working and strong experience with structured testing processes, defect management, test case creation, accuracy sampling, acceptance criteria validation, automation, integration, and end-to-end testing as well as functional and API testing and reporting.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.





- Ability to educate the test team on automation framework, automated scripts maintenance.

- Strong coding skills and knowledge of Java, JavaScript, SQL queries.

- Experience working in quick-paced Agile environment and SCRUM team format.

Responsibilities

- Analyze business and technical requirements to identify test scenarios, risks, and coverage needs.

- Design, document, and execute manual test cases.

- Develop and maintain automated test cases for Web, API, and/or Mobile applications.

- Create and maintain test scenarios following BDD/Gherkin standards when applicable.

- Validate converted digital maps accurately represent the source CAD drawings, comply with the ArcGIS Indoors schema and agreed business rules, meet spatial and attribute quality standards, and support expected navigation and wayfinding functionality before deliverables are accepted and deployed.

- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing.

- Identify, document, track, and retest defects.

- Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and other QA team members.

- Participate in refinement sessions and provide QA feedback early in the development lifecycle.

- Maintain automated tests as applications and requirements evolve.

- Analyze automated execution results and investigate failures.

- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.

- Contribute to QA standards, automation best practices, and overall test strategy.

Nice to Have

- Experience with mobile testing on Android and iOS.

- Experience with device farms or cloud-based testing platforms.
