Responsibilities
Ownership of a portfolio of credits
Arranging review meetings for all entities assigned in line with our surveillance standards
Understanding financial statements and preparing detailed forecasts
Summarizing findings and conclusions (including rating implications) at management meetings and discussing with management
Independently preparing and presenting analysis and recommendations to credit committees
Actively participating in committees
Undertaking research in support of S&P; Global Ratings published commentaries
Communicating with market players for rating rationale and criteria application
Actively managing relationships with issuers, intermediaries, and investors
Understanding and implementing S&P;'s policies and procedures
Demonstrating accountability for work quality and meeting deadlines consistently
Taking initiative in identifying process improvements and contributing innovative solutions




Building effective working relationships across teams and with external stakeholders
All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week
What We're Looking For
Basic Required Qualifications
An S&P; Integral employee at this level would typically have 3+ years of relevant experience within a large commercial bank, investment bank, investing institution/asset manager, rating agency, or an audit company working in the field of financial analysis
A bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related subject
Understanding of the power, utilities or infrastructure asset classes
Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial statement analysis and accounting concepts
Proficiency with calculations and the ability to maintain accuracy and be detail oriented while complying with strict and tight deadlines
Ability to multi‐task and manage deadlines under time pressure
Experience in managing, interpreting, and synthesizing data for analytical purposes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Team player with excellent time management skills
Fluent in English.
Advanced Portuguese is a plus
Excel skills (including formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data, filters)
Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy
Strong problem‐solving capabilities and attention to detail
We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in‐person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P; Global Ratings office.




This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer
Additional Preferred Qualifications
MBA or master's degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics and/or CFA
Strong proficiency with Excel & VBA, financial models and financial data
Strong PowerPoint and database application skills
Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. C++, MATLAB, Python, R or VBA)
Experience in mentoring junior team members or leading small project teams
Track record of contributing to process improvements or efficiency initiatives
