Responsibilities

- Construct and maintain a cloud-based data integration solution running on AWS
- Plan out new integration routes and craft reusable modules to keep pace with changing business requirements
- Oversee application releases, troubleshoot production incidents, and ensure long-term stability for enterprise systems
- Provide input during architecture planning sessions and help guide key system design choices
- Deliver code that's clean, well-organized, and simple to maintain, adhering to team coding practices
- Partner with colleagues from different areas of the business to convert requirements into practical technical solutions
- Participate in reviewing teammates' code submissions to ensure quality benchmarks are met and to promote shared learning
- Identify and resolve technical obstacles that emerge throughout various phases of development

Requirements

- Seven or more years working in enterprise-level software development, backed by a solid history of delivering and maintaining large systems in operational production environments
- A minimum of two years spent directing and overseeing a team of developers
- Advanced hands-on skill with Java (versions 17/21)



combined with practical application of Spring Boot
- Solid track record working with Kafka, particularly within efforts to move away from SQS-based systems
- Ability to independently plan and construct REST APIs from concept to completion
- Practical experience linking together different applications using Apache Camel
- Established history of developing and supporting solutions built on the AWS platform
- Wide-ranging background in unit, integration, and performance testing, paired with a thorough understanding of application architecture and structured programming approaches
- Direct, applied experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL
- English fluency at an Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or above

Nice to have

- Working knowledge of Docker for building and deploying containerized applications
- Experience operating within Agile methodologies and contributing to iterative release cycles
- Practical familiarity with AI-driven coding tools and agentic development platforms such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor, as well as exposure to MCP
- Basic understanding of message broker solutions like ActiveMQ
- Light experience using Python to assist with integration testing tasks
