About the Role We're looking for a Creative Strategy Lead to own what angles and concepts we decide to pursue, and why.

This role exists to centralize creative thinking and lead the strategy function, so that:

- Angles are original, well-reasoned, and grounded in what actually performs
- Clients receive perspective, not just production
- The work we make is the result of deliberate thinking, not taste scattered across the org
- Creative conviction, not volume, becomes the competitive advantage we sell

You are accountable for creative thinking and strategic quality, not execution output. This is a creative judgment + strategic leadership role.

What You Will Own

1.

Creative Strategy & Angle Development (Primary)

Define what angles and concepts are worth pursuing for each client - and articulate why.

- Identify the creative gaps competitors haven't exploited
- Build the 5-angle framework: high-conviction ideas your clients would never have briefed themselves
- Own the point of view that differentiates Statiq from execution-only agencies
- Make fast, confident recommendations with imperfect information

2. Strategic Brief Ownership Every concept that enters production starts with a brief you've approved.

- Review and sharpen concepts generated by the Creative Strategist team
- Select the angles that move forward - and kill the ones that don't
- Ensure every brief answers: what's the angle, who's it for, and why will it work
- Approve strategic direction, not visual polish

3. Leadership of the Creative Strategist Team You manage and develop the team responsible for generating angles and building briefs.

- Set expectations for strategic depth, clarity, and client-specificity
- Coach strategists to find the non-obvious angle, not just the safe one
- Run regular reviews and build a culture of creative conviction
- Own hiring, onboarding, and performance for this function

This is a real people-management role. 4. Strategic Alignment Across the Org

- Ensure creative direction is legible to designers, QA, and client leads
- Partner with client leads when feedback signals a strategy problem, not a production problem
- Be the internal champion for the positioning:

fewer, smarter ads over more, faster ads

How You Work With Other Roles

- Designers: Execute approved concepts. You don't give pixel-level feedback.
- QA Specialists: Enforce output quality against the brief's intent. You align on strategy, not taste.
- Client Leads: Own client communication. You support when feedback is about strategy, not delivery.

What Success Looks Like (90 Days)

- Clients are reacting to angles they'd never have thought to try, and winning with them
- The 5-angle deliverable becomes a repeatable, recognizable Statiq output
- Strategists are improving quarter over quarter in the depth and originality of their thinking
- Fewer "this doesn't feel right" reactions, because strategy was right upstream
- Creative conviction no longer leaks into production or ops
- You've made the case internally for what we build, and why it beats the alternative

Adecuado Profile

You are someone who

- Has genuine, defensible creative taste, and can explain it
- Has run paid social creative in-house at a DTC brand and felt the pain of being too close to it
- Believes the industry's obsession with volume is the problem, not the answer
- Is comfortable saying "this angle isn't strong enough", often, and clearly
- Thinks in patterns across categories, not just executions within them
- Enjoys developing junior strategists into strong, original thinkers
- Understands performance marketing well enough to know when taste and data align

Common backgrounds:

- Creative strategist at a performance creative agency, frustrated by the volume model
- In-house creative lead at a DTC brand ready for more variety
- Senior creative with strong strategic POV and some people management
- Freelance creative strategist who went independent because no one was doing it right
