Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Spanish Interpreter to facilitate clear and accurate communication across diverse settings, including healthcare, social services, and legal environments. Duties

- Provide real-time interpretation between Spanish-speaking clients and English-speaking professionals in various settings such as hospitals, clinics, child protective services, and social work agencies.
- Accurately translate medical records, documentation, and reports while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Assist with interpretation for medical procedures, consultations, and social service meetings, ensuring clarity and cultural sensitivity.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, supporting effective communication among healthcare providers and social workers.
- Support hospital staff by interpreting during patient assessments, discharge planning, and family conferences.




- Facilitate communication during legal or child protective services interviews while maintaining confidentiality standards.
- Maintain detailed records of interpreted sessions in accordance with organizational policies.
- Stay updated on medical terminology, interpretation best practices, and relevant legal or social service protocols to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Skills

- Multilingual proficiency in Spanish and English; additional languages such as American Sign Language are a plus.
- Strong interpretation skills with the ability to convey messages accurately and culturally appropriately.
- Experience with medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare documentation review.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen actively and articulate complex information clearly.
- Knowledge of child protective services procedures, hospital operations, social work practices, and medical records management.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, discretion, and empathy.
- Bilingual capability is essential; prior experience in medical or hospital settings is highly desirable.
