Job Title : Senior Jira Administrator

We are seeking a Senior Jira Administrator to take ownership of our Jira ecosystem, driving standardization, automation, and operational excellence across multiple teams. This is a highly visible, hands-on role for someone who thrives on creating scalable processes, improving engineering workflows, and providing leadership with actionable insights through reporting and dashboards.

The idóneo candidate has deep experience administering Jira Cloud environments at scale, building automation solutions, optimizing Agile processes, and partnering cross-functionally to improve team efficiency and delivery visibility.

Responsibilities:

- Own and administer the Jira Cloud environment across multiple teams and projects
- Standardize workflows, issue statuses, transitions, issue types, required fields, and ticket templates across the organization
- Establish and maintain governance for labels, custom fields, permissions, and project configurations
- Design, build, and maintain Jira Automation rules, triggers, workflows, and notifications
- Create dashboards, reports, and threshold-based alerts that provide real-time visibility into engineering health and team performance
- Develop reporting for key metrics such as velocity, cycle time, backlog health, sprint performance, and work-in-progress tracking
- Standardize Agile practices including sprint cadence, backlog refinement, ticket hygiene, and workflow consistency
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement Atlassian Marketplace applications and integrations based on business needs
- Support roadmap visibility through initiative, epic, and theme tracking structures
- Stand up new Jira projects and boards while ensuring scalability and adherence to governance standards
- Audit and optimize existing Jira configurations, automation rules, and inactive projects
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Security, Data, and other stakeholders to design workflows that support business objectives
- Present findings, recommendations, and process improvements to leadership and cross-functional teams




- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase operational efficiency and visibility across teams

Basic Qualifications:

- Intermediate/Advanced English skills with strong communication abilities.
- Self-motivated, quick learner, and adaptable to new technologies and legacy systems.
- Thrives in a team environment, actively contributes to collaboration, fostering a sense of community.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to issue resolution. Embraces new ideas to enhance problem-solving processes.

Qualifications for the role:

- 5+ years of experience administering Jira Cloud in multi-team environments
- Deep hands-on experience with Jira workflows, schemes, permissions, custom fields, and project configurations
- Strong expertise with Jira Automation, including rules, triggers, conditions, and JQL
- Experience designing and maintaining engineering dashboards and reporting solutions
- Strong understanding of engineering metrics including velocity, cycle time, throughput, backlog health, and sprint analytics
- Experience implementing workflow governance and standardization initiatives across teams
- Experience configuring and supporting Agile boards, sprint processes, and backlog management practices
- Experience evaluating and implementing Atlassian Marketplace applications and integrations
- Strong knowledge of Jira reporting, filters, dashboards, and automation best practices
- Experience auditing and optimizing Jira environments for scalability, usability, and operational efficiency

Strongly Preferred

- Atlassian Jira Administrator certification
- Experience supporting engineering organizations within SaaS or technology companies
- Experience building executive-level dashboards and KPI reporting
- Experience with data-driven engineering reporting, resource planning, or ROI/capitalization reporting
- Experience supporting Security, Data, Product,



and Engineering teams within a shared Jira environment
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools for automation, reporting, workflow analysis, and operational improvements
- Experience working in high-growth or rapidly scaling organizations
- Strong process improvement and change management experience
