We are seeking a Senior Backend Java Developer to join our team. Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain a cloud-hosted data integration platform running on AWS infrastructure
- Design and build new integration flows along with reusable integration modules to support evolving business needs
- Handle deployment activities, resolve production issues, and provide ongoing maintenance for enterprise-level applications
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute technical input toward system design decisions
- Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code following established engineering standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Take part in code reviews to uphold quality standards and share knowledge across the team
- Investigate and resolve technical issues that arise across various stages of the software lifecycle

Requirements

- 3+ years of experience developing enterprise-grade applications, with a demonstrated history of building and supporting large-scale systems in live production environments
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Java (versions 17/21) paired with practical experience using Spring Boot




- Direct experience working with Kafka, particularly in projects involving migration away from SQS
- Solid background designing and constructing REST APIs from the ground up
- Experience connecting and integrating applications using Apache Camel
- Track record of building and maintaining cloud-based solutions on the AWS platform
- Comprehensive experience across unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing, combined with a strong grasp of application design principles and structured programming practices
- Practical experience working with relational database systems such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL
- English language skills at an Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher

Nice to have

- Experience working with Docker to containerize and deploy applications
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and iterative delivery approaches
- Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools and agentic development platforms such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor, along with experience using MCP
- Working knowledge of message broker technologies like ActiveMQ
- Some background using Python to support integration testing efforts
