We are looking for a highly skilled Sr Java/Svelte Engineer to join a Content Engineering team supporting digital products and platforms across Music, Books, and Podcasts.

This role requires strong hands-on expertise across Java, React, Svelte, and Cassandra, combined with an AI-forward engineering mindset. The idóneo candidate is an experienced full stack engineer who can build scalable backend services, modern frontend applications, and data-intensive solutions while leveraging AI tools to improve engineering productivity.

?️ MUST-HAVE Technical Skills & Experience

- Strong hands-on experience with Java.
- Strong hands-on experience with React.
- Strong hands-on experience with Svelte.
- Hands-on experience with Cassandra.
- Strong Full Stack Software Engineering experience.
- Experience designing and developing scalable applications and backend services.
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and engineering best practices.
- Experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices.
- Advanced English communication skills.

Candidates must demonstrate experience using AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and engineering efficiency.

- Hands-on experience with Claude is required.
- Experience using AI tools for coding, debugging, testing, and development tasks.
- Ability to effectively review, validate, and improve AI-generated code.
- Demonstrated ability to incorporate AI into daily software engineering workflows.

? Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full stack applications.
- Develop backend services and APIs using Java.
- Build modern frontend applications using React and Svelte.
- Design and work with Cassandra-based data solutions.
- Participate in technical architecture and design discussions.
- Troubleshoot and optimize application performance and scalability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and delivery.

- Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
