The Work You'll Do:
As a Software Engineer II, you are an experienced software professional who can operate effectively as an individual contributor in most circumstances with limited guidance and supervision.



You may also serve as a mentor and coach to more junior employees.
- More specifically, you will:_
- Facilitate basic Sovos SDLC meetings
- Coach and mentor other team members
- Interact with internal stakeholders and customers around requirements, issues, and other common matters
- Lead junior developers on shared stories and tasks
- Refine and improve development tools (IDE, Jenkins, Test Harnesses, etc.)
- Share technical knowledge with other team members
- Consistently develop high quality code consistent with Sovos conventions and accepted coding best practices, including design patterns
- Draft designs and documentation for major functionality
- Triage and resolve most customer escalations independently
- Consistently identify impediments and play an active role in their resolution
- Help other team members identify, elaborate, and solve problems
- Leverage AI-powered development tools t
