Role Description The Voice Recording Participant role is a remote position focused on providing high-quality audio samples in one or more native or fluent languages to support AI model training and language technology development. Day-to-day tasks include reading and recording scripted sentences, phrases, or prompts, following detailed recording instructions, and ensuring clear pronunciation, consistent volume, and minimal background noise. Participants may be asked to perform recordings in various tones, speeds, or styles, and to verify or correct transcriptions associated with their audio.
The role also involves securely uploading recordings,
completing brief quality checks, and responding to project-related communications or guidelines from the coordination team. Scheduling is generally adaptable, with work completed according to project needs and agreed timelines.
Qualifications
- Strong language proficiency in at least one of the supported languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, English, Arabic, Hindi, Mandarin, and other listed languages), with clear and natural pronunciation.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions for voice recording tasks, including adherence to scripts, timing requirements, and technical guidelines.
- Access to a quiet recording environment and reliable equipment (such as a computer or smartphone and a quality microphone or headset) to produce clean, intelligible audio.
- Basic technical skills to manage audio files, use recording applications, and upload content securely through online platforms.
- Reliability in meeting deadlines, completing assigned recording volumes, and communicating promptly with project coordinators.
- Attention to detail, including careful review of prompts, accurate reading, and willingness to re-record segments to meet quality standards.
- Prior experience in voice recording, voice over, interpreting, or transcription is beneficial but not required.
- Comfort working independently in a remote setting and openness to collaborating with an international, multicultural team.
