Communication Associate – Argentina (GS-6)

Under the supervision of the Communication Specialist (NO‑3) and in close coordination with the Advocacy and Media Officer and the Digital Communication Officer, the Communication Associate provides technical and administrative support to the implementation of communication strategies. The role includes supporting the planning, production, and monitoring of digital and media content, campaigns, and communication activities.

The Communication Associate works closely with program and fundraising teams, as well as external partners and suppliers, contributing to the delivery of high‑quality communication outputs and to the effective positioning of UNICEF priorities.

Key functions and accountabilities:
- Support the implementation of communication and advocacy strategies.
- Support the development and implementation of Digital Strategy initiatives and assist in the execution of online campaigns and digital pieces of communication.
- Test, research, and identify new innovations in social media,



digital platforms and audience behaviors and collaborate with the Youth Engagement area.
- Provide general administrative support and documentation for online conferences, and maintain the team’s knowledge center, tools and resources.

Minimum Requirements
- Education: Completed secondary education required.
- Work Experience: At least 6 years of relevant experience in communication, advocacy, digital communication, including social media, journalism, and digital marketing or related fields.
- Skills: Strong communication skills; knowledge of digital communication and digital publishing tools; attention to detail.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in Spanish and English.

Desirable
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, or Russian).
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, public relations, marketing, digital marketing, advertising, graphic design or related field.
