Pensionable Salary Enhancement - Nurses in eligible classifications may be eligible to earn an additional $5.95/hour when working full-time hours within a prescribed six-month reporting period. (Effective April 1, 2025 – March 31st 2027.)

Position Overview

Under the general supervision of, and in collaboration with the Manager Health Services, the Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) is responsible for providing clinical expertise to nurses.



The CRN assumes a leadership role in coordinating patient care within the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care outcomes, and promote an interdisciplinary patient centered approach to care based on best practice. Demonstrates a commitment to the vision, values, goals, and objectives of the region/facility/unit.

Experience
- Minimum three (3) years clinical experience in long term care within the last 5 years required.
- Recent experience in skin and wound management required.
- Experience in staff education preferred.
- Experience in Resident and family education/counseling preferred.
- Experience in dementia care/P.I.E.C.E.S preferred.
- Experience in end of life care preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing or Registered Psychiatric Nursing (Mental Health) education program required.
- BN,BScMH, or BScPN is preferred. Successful completion of a relevant post basic program may be required or preferred in designated areas.
