The Opportunity

UCF IT within University Operations is seeking to hire a Business Systems Analyst IV. This role is responsible for serving as a key strategic liaison between UCF Information Technology (UCF IT) and the university’s academic and central support units. The Business Systems Analyst IV plays a senior-level role in driving operational efficiency, identifying high-impact technology solutions, and facilitating IT governance and project initiation processes. The idóneo candidate demonstrates advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, a comprehensive understanding of complex business processes, and the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.



This position is critical in transforming institutional needs into effective IT initiatives that enhance the overall experience and success of UCF’s faculty, students, and staff.

Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between UCF IT and designated academic or central support units, fostering strong, collaborative relationship.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses to understand, document, and map current-state business processes, identifying pain points, inefficiencies, and strategic opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with business and academic leaders to define and document clear business needs, requirements, and use cases. Research, evaluate, and recommend appropriate technological and process solutions to address complex business problems, aligning with UCF's strategic goals and IT architecture standards. Write requirements and build process flows as required for project initiation.
