EPAM is looking for a seasoned Lead Functional Testerto manage daily testing operations for a gaming project in an office environment.

You will organize testing schedules, serve as the main contact for client QA inquiries, track team progress, and support hiring and onboarding efforts. This role demands advanced software testing knowledge, strong leadership, and a focus on quality and improvement. Confidentiality, responsibility, and teamwork are essential for success.

Responsibilities
- Direct the Test Team’s daily workload to ensure critical tasks are prioritized
- Serve as the point of communication between the Client’s QA Analyst group and the Test Team, handling requests
- Oversee and document team performance, including attendance, obstacles, and escalations
- Assess tester contributions and impact on the project
- Engage in recruitment and onboarding activities for new team members
- Detect, resolve, and escalate defects or issues that affect task completion

Requirements:
- At least 5 years of practical experience in software testing




- Comprehensive knowledge of project documentation and ability to operate in VUCA settings with mínimal documentation
- Track record of organizing, executing, and reporting testing efforts for teams
- Expertise in installing and launching builds on gaming consoles and mobile devices, plus training others in these tasks
- Capability to lead a group of 5-20 testers on ongoing projects or establish testing from the ground up
- Experience facilitating knowledge sharing, onboarding, and skill development within teams
- Mastery of software quality assurance processes and the software development lifecycle
- Able to work independently and manage tasks without oversight
- Takes ownership of results for primary testing duties
- Maintains confidentiality and manages sensitive client information appropriately
- Works well in a team, encouraging motivation and collaboration
- Supports ongoing learning through practical work and available
