Translation Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Coordination:
- Manage multiple translation projects simultaneously.
- Liaise with clients to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with translators, proofreaders, and other team members to ensure the timely completion of projects.

2. Quality Assurance:
- Oversee the quality of translated content, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to client specifications.
- Coordinate the review and editing process, incorporating feedback from clients and team members.

3. Budgeting and Costing:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
- Negotiate rates and terms with freelance translators and vendors.

4. Resource Management:
- Identify and assign appropriate translators based on language pairs, specialization, and availability.
- Maintain and update a database of translators, proofreaders, and other linguistic resources.

5. Reporting:
- Track project progress and provide regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders.




- Analyze and report on project performance, identifying areas for improvement.

6. Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices. Provide feedback and recommendations to enhance the efficiency and quality of translation processes.

Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
- 5+ years of experience in translation project management.
- Experience using Trados products and other CAT Tools.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and 17100 standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
