What does a Project Manager do at WPP Production?

Project Managers own the end-to-end project management of projects. They are responsible for intake, delivering a completed project on time and to specification. Project Managers must demonstrate a good understanding of project management tools and best-practice methodology, and the flexibility to lead a diverse and dynamic team to deliver balanced integrated solutions.
The Project Manager is everyone’s point person for requests they are assigned to. Team members rely on them for everything they need to know about a project: what to expect, what to do next, and to find out where they need to be. Project Managers relay information about the timing, scope, budgets, resources, and changes to the project plan.

This role will be interacting directly with the onsite team based in NYC and working on projects with this team on Eastern Standard Time.

The successful candidate will use their superior problem-solvingskillsand have a desire tobe strategicandalways striving for improvement. They will have a passion fordigital marketing and creative development.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Communication

- The key day-to-day project contact for a variety of stakeholdersboth internal and client
- Possessesexperience in understandingclient satisfaction level -facilitatesthe sharing of client feedback with the team and management; sensitive to the client’s needs andunderstands the goal of the campaigns they are assignedtomanage




- Takes accountability to ensure that all team members are aware of timelines anddeliverables
- Communicatingwithonshore(NYC)team, both internal and externalclientsto coordinatework across multiple disciplines to meet the needs of the teams.

Collaboration

- Collaborates with the NYC-based operations team and both internal and external stakeholders toestablishand manage clear frameworks and deadlines for requests.
- Leads partnershipswith the client services, project management,productionandteamleadsacross channels to ensure a smooth process, proper resource allocation, and a superiorend result
- Ensures team members feel personal accountability for deliverables and projects, engaging in all aspects of team assignments driving towards progress,actions,andresults
- Develops andmaintainshigh-level of team effectiveness (trust, communication, collaboration, productivitydiversityand engagement)
- Managean array ofmediumtolargesizedprojects independently, from initiation throughcompletion
- Serve as the expert on integrated marketing campaigns, working with cross-functional teams in a fast-pacedenvironment
- Possesses an in-depth understanding of project management techniques and brings process innovation in how we manage ourengagements
- Manages clientobjectives, expectations,deliverables,and timelines and communicating changes/directions to teammembers
- Keeps projects on track through clearmanagement in PM tools,issue tracking, status reports, and meetingnotes

Task and Resource Management

- Works with interdisciplinary teams of creativetechnologists to define and develop scopes and estimates of projects (goals, deliverables, schedule), helping to translate creative concepts into clear sets of deliverables with properstaffing
- Owns project tracking of all ongoing costs(where applicable)throughout project lifecycle, reconcilesestimates to actuals on all projects, and resolution of budget discrepancies between disciplines,vendors,andclients

Daily Tasks

- Liaises with clients/agencies/suppliers to obtain schedules, briefs, assets, technicalspecifications
- Manages intake on incomingrequests
- Develops andmaintainsscopes,timelinesand budgetsin partnership with internalpartners
- Manages tasks in Monday.com and translates requests into Workfrontplatform
- Manages status documents, agendas, contact reports,trackersand day to day communication withtheteam




- Kicking off large projects and scheduling meetings for alignment
- Keeping all teams informed of changes to requests, timelines, etc.

Requirements

- 3+ years of project management experience in an interactive or integrated agency or similar environment
- Experience in managing workflows acrosscreative development, content production, technology, quality assurancetestingand marketingmethodologies
- A professional and approachable demeanor, and the ability to thrive in the dynamic highly matrixedenvironment
- Ability to manage complex projects,demonstratingability to deliver on time and onbudget
- Demonstrates an ability to solve problems with the solution that works for all stakeholders without compromising the quality of the deliverables or theproject
- Accountableand calm, confident presence
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills
- Natural and effective collaborator
- Proficiencywith Google Suite, Workfront, Monday.com, Slack
- Good to have: Experience in design programs and ability to QC and review creativeassets
