About the position:
We are looking for a Regional Safety Manager (RSM) - AMERICAS to provide sites and operations in the region with professional leadership, guidance and support to comply with OUP’s global safety policy. This includes responsibility for the design, upkeep and ongoing improvement of appropriate local safety management arrangements, and for facilitating their effective implementation. Lastly, to collaborate and contribute with the global safety teams and initiatives respectively.The role also supports the development,



implementation, training and testing of resiliency plans for critical sites in the region.This role does not involve the direct provision or management of occupational health services but does have a strong interface with this discipline.This role will report to the Head of Safety and Security, and he reports into Director Real Estate, Workplace & HSS.
This role should be based in Mexico City
Main responsibilities:

Implement global workplace security strategic objectives. Devise, maintain and embed safety management arrangements that are fit for purpose, achieve OUP’s policy and secure ownership and accountability at all levels.
Work as part of a team to help develop appropriate integral safety management arrangements.
Provide professional guidance, advice and support to colleagues, including senior managers, to enable them to fulfil their health and safety roles and responsibilities
