Canals is a fully remote, profitable startup transforming the industrial supply chain ($10T industry) with AI. Our platform seamlessly integrates with the systems distributors already use, automating tedious tasks and reducing failure points in moving physical goods across the globe.

We’re a 70-person team (~45 in engineering), located across North and South America.

The Role:
Our customer base and data scale are growing rapidly. To keep pace, we’re expanding our infrastructure and automation capabilities. We need a senior-level DevOps Engineer who can build and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable systems to support continuous delivery, monitoring, and growth—while collaborating closely with engineers and product teams.

What You’ll Do:
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS) to support Canals’ platform at scale.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines for faster, safer, and more consistent deployments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and system configuration using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.




- Develop and manage observability systems for logging, monitoring, and alerting.
- Strengthen our security posture and ensure reliability across environments.
- Own uptime, deployment quality, and operational excellence as we scale.

What You'll Bring:
- Typically, 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
- Strong experience with AWS (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM).
- Expertise with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Proficiency in Docker and container orchestration (ECS or Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.).
- Experience securing systems and managing secrets, permissions, and network policies.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working remotely in a fast-moving, product-focused environment.
