About the Company Fairlane is a growing US back office, accounting, and bookkeeping services firm serving small-to-medium sized businesses.

We are looking for a staff accountant / bookkeeper to join our fully-remote team, focused on the ability to quickly learn and accurately perform accounting and administrative tasks for US clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform bookkeeping and data entry tasks, including billing, invoicing, AP/AR
- Perform complex processes across systems
- Assist with monthly accruals, journal entries, and month-end close processes
- Prepare question lists and communicate with US clients
- Maintain accurate financial records and generate basic financial reports
- Join video calls or support communications as needed
- Ensure adherence to best practices and US accounting standards

Must-Have Qualifications
- Fluent, professional English — spoken and written; comfortable joining client calls
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or as a staff accountant, with expertise in commonly used accounting systems




- Strong attention to detail, top-notch accuracy, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in accruals, journal entries, and month-end processes
- Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses (non-public accounting)
- Versátil availability during US Eastern hours (EST/EDT)
- Stable home office setup: reliable internet, power, and dedicated workspace

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or equivalent
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online
- Prior experience working directly with US-based clients or employers
