Job Description:

As an Assistant Vice President, Senior Counsel in Chase Travel Group Legal, you are embedded counsel to Chase Travel Corporate Solutions (CTCS), providing both transactional support and day-to-day legal advice in a fast-paced, client-facing B2B travel environment. You partner with CTCS business leaders across Consulting Services, Partner Loyalty Solutions, and Entertainment Travel, advising on strategic transactions and operational decisions, and you also support broader Chase Travel Group regulatory and product counsel matters in collaboration with the senior attorney serving as chief regulatory and product counsel.

Job Responsibilities

- You will serve as day-to-day legal counsel to CTCS stakeholders, providing strategic, commercially pragmatic, and transparent advice on legal considerations arising in the ordinary course and in connection with transactions.
- You will lead the drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements supporting CTCS sub-verticals, including client services agreements.
- You will advise on and interpret legal and regulatory issues impacting CTCS offerings, with a focus on compliance with state, federal, and international laws and regulations governing the sale of travel.
- You will provide ongoing support to business partners, other legal teams, and functional partners on contract interpretation and implementation questions.
- You will provide early-stage “seat at the table” legal support, including issue-spotting, researching, and escalating risks as appropriate across antitrust, bank regulatory, UDAP/UDAAP, data, privacy, and security considerations.
- You will assess legislative changes, evaluate potential impacts to business operations, and provide timely updates to impacted stakeholders.
- You will support broader Chase Travel Group product counsel and regulatory matters by advising on product initiatives tied to sales and revenue goals, identifying applicable regulations and rules, and coordinating with legal and cross-functional partners to drive consistent, well-governed outcomes.
- You will collaborate with functional partners to develop strategies to support regulatory compliance.





Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills.
- 3+ years of post-admission experience in a law firm or in-house; licensed to practice law and a member in good standing in the state in which the position is based (or otherwise in compliance with that state's in-house counsel registration rules).
- Transactional experience with strong technical drafting and negotiation skills.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure, speak up when necessary, and exercise strong judgment while maintaining constructive working relationships.
- Entrepreneurial, business-minded approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, pivot between priorities, and drive work to completion.
- Ability to assess issues in context of broader strategy and think tactically to achieve the best result for all parties.
- Willingness to travel as required to support business needs.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills.
- Experience serving as embedded, primary counsel to a line of business, providing day-to-day legal guidance in addition to leading transactions.
- Familiarity with travel management, business travel, entertainment travel, and online travel platform transactions, including structuring and negotiating commercial terms for technology-enabled services.
- Experience advising on B2B client engagements (including consulting-style services) and client-facing contracting models.
- Experience advising on product lifecycle legal issues from early-stage product design and go-to-market through ongoing enhancements, translating regulatory and risk considerations into clear, practical guidance.
- Familiarity with consumer protection and travel-related regulations and rules, including Seller of Travel and other licensing requirements,



and comfort translating regulatory requirements into practical business guidance.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders on issue-spotting and risk management, including data, privacy, security, and banking and financial services regulatory considerations in commercial arrangements.
