We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in managing and supporting the financial operations of Argentina and Uruguay markets.
This is a hands-on role with broad exposure across accounting, accounts payable and receivable, treasury, tax compliance, inventory, and financial reporting, working closely with our regional Finance team, local business teams, external advisors, banks, and headquarters.
The idóneo candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional who is comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day financial processes, working independently, and operating in an international and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable activities, including payment follow-up, account reconciliations, overdue collections, and credit limit management
- Review and process supplier invoices and payments, prepare payment plans, reconcile supplier accounts, and analyze expenses
- Manage daily banking operations, bank reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, and treasury-related activities
- Support foreign exchange transactions, currency settlements, cross-border fund transfers, and banking documentation
- Coordinate with external tax and legal advisors to support tax filings, audits, inquiries, and local regulatory requirements
- Perform monthly closing activities, general ledger reviews, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare management reports and support annual audits and headquarters financial compliance requirements
- Manage inventory accounting and monthly inventory reconciliations for Uruguay operations
- Support physical inventory counts, variance analysis, and resolution of inventory discrepancies
- Work closely with Sales, Admin, and Operations teams on customer- and supplier-related financial matters
- Support contract reviews, payment processes, and financial assessments related to business operations
- Collaborate with regional and headquarters Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- +5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, audit, or similar roles
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, monthly closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and tax-related processes
- Experience with inventory accounting or companies managing physical inventory is highly valued
- Experience working with external accounting, tax, or audit firms
- Experience with SAP or another ERP system is preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and manage multiple priorities
- Experience in multinational companies or supporting multiple countries is a plus
