Requirements

Must-haves

- 7+ years of DBA experience
- Experience with Windows-hosted SQL Server
- Experience with Snowflake
- Experience with AWS
- Proficiency with AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude)
- Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English

Nice-to-haves

- Startup experience
- Experience with MySQL
- Experience with ETL pipelines and tools (e.g., Rivery, dbt)
- Experience designing data warehouses
- Experience with data lakes on Amazon S3
- Familiarity with BI and analytics tools (e.g., Metabase, QuickSight)
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

What you will work on

- Manage, run, and tune MySQL, SQL Server, and Snowflake environments
- Upgrading the Windows Server OS that hosts SQL Server
- Track and optimize Snowflake usage and costs
- Design and build databases, including stored procedures
- Design and build Snowflake-based data warehouse solutions
- Product stacks: C#/Microsoft SQL Server (self-hosted on a Windows EC2 instance); the other side runs MySQL on AWS RDS
