Job Position: Software Engineer (Contract)

Job Location: Remote - Argentina (hours overlapping US business hours required)

Classification: Independent Contractor, Full-Time Hours

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Are you a full-stack engineer who loves owning a feature from idea to production? As a Software Engineer (Contract) at Catch Coverage, you'll build across our TypeScript/AWS platform — from serverless backend to modern frontend — and report directly to our Director of Engineering. You'll ship product features end-to-end with minimal hand-off friction, working closely with a collaborative engineering team and non-technical stakeholders who value your input.

This is a 100% remote, contract opportunity open to engineers based in Latin America.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design, build, and ship full-stack features spanning serverless AWS (Amazon Web Services) backends (Lambda, API (Application Programming Interface) Gateway, Fargate) and React/Next.js frontends
- Own features end-to-end — from technical design through implementation, testing, and deployment




- Develop and test against synthetic/staging data sets that mirror production characteristics
- Collaborate asynchronously and cross-functionally with engineering peers and non-technical stakeholders to translate product requirements into working software
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making for the platform
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested TypeScript/Node code following team standards
- Support and mentor teammates as needed, sharing knowledge across the engineering team
- Communicate progress, blockers, and technical trade-offs clearly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- 3–5 years of full-stack software engineering experience (mid-level), with solid hands-on TypeScript (Node + React)
- Must speak and write English fluently (C1 or above on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) scale), with a strong asynchronous collaboration track record
- Based in Latin America, with working hours overlapping US business hours
- Hands-on AWS (Amazon Web Services) experience (Lambda, API (Application Programming Interface) Gateway, Fargate, or equivalent serverless/container services)
- Nice-to-have in at least one of: React Native/Expo, UI (User Interface)/UX (User Experience) design, Python (data/AI (Artificial Intelligence)), product experience, healthcare industry experience, or sales/sales-tooling experience
