We are

The European Union (EU) is an economic and political partnership between 27 European countries. It plays an important role in international affairs through diplomacy, trade, development aid and working with integral organizations. Abroad, the EU is represented through more than 140 diplomatic representations, known also as EU Delegations, which have a similar function to those of an embassy.

The EU Delegation to Argentina works in close coordination with the Embassies and Consulates of the 27 EU Member States. We are a fully-fledged diplomatic mission and represent the European Union in dealings with the Argentinian government in areas that are part of the EU’s remit.

We offer

The post of Secretary (Local Agent Group 3) in the Delegation’s Politics, Press and Information Section. The team consists of 5 people and there are occasional atypical working hours.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

SECRETARIAL SUPPORT




- Manage the correspondence, communication, workflows, organisation of meetings and ensure adequate follow-up. Brings to the management and other relevant colleagues attention complex, sensitive or priority issues and provides information and basic administrative guidance to other colleagues
- Arrange appointments and maintain the management and team calendar, receive visitors, place and screen telephone calls, manage functional mailboxes, direct queries to the appropriate colleagues
- Act as a contact point for routine administrative questions within the section and support the handling and distribution of incoming and outgoing correspondence in line with the applicable procedures
- Organise meetings (including, where relevant, high-level meetings), finalise agendas and invitations, ensure the production and distribution of documentation, take notes and prepare minutes of meetings, and follow up o
